In a phone conversation with a recently married friend, I described where we've got to with all the planning. Apparently we're very far ahead.. he was shocked at what we've organised already! And I'd agree, because I know we are and I'm very glad. I'm not usually organised well in advance, but for events that require organisation, be it venues, outfits, or packing, I much prefer to have more time. I find that stress can be eliminated by just making decisions when there's no pressure. As soon as decisions have to be made in a pressurised situation, I tend to freeze and have no opinion on anything, which is not what I want for myself or K for our wedding. We're very chilled out as a result of our parent's homework and our enthusiastic discussions of everything early on...

We have now made the decision about the photographer. And yes, we have chosen Mr Brown...

The thing I like about him is that, while his prices will be going up a bit, he is very up-front about what things will cost, and in terms of his work, he seems like he's got a lot of experience, of photography in general, but specifically wedding photography. He's probably going to be bossy, but that's better than someone that is sloppy.

I also like the fact that there is an option for our parents to order small photo albums for themselves (6 prints) which can be their own choice.

I'm so relieved that we've chosen now. Here is the website for him.

Before thinking about having a wedding, you don't realise whats out there! It's totally unecessary to know any of this stuff until you need to. I'm determined to be totally relaxed. I'm confident that I will not be a Bridezilla... more or less!
